Secrets in Plain Sight

From: secretsinplainsight.com

Quicktime intro for iPad users

Watch individual episodes and read the blog for the latest discoveries.

Synopsis: Secrets In Plain Sight is an awe inspiring exploration of great art, architecture, and urban design which skillfully unveils an unlikely intersection of geometry, politics, numerical philosophy, religious mysticism, new physics, music, astronomy, and world history. Exploring key monuments and their positions in Egypt, Stonehenge, Jerusalem, Rome, Paris, London, Edinburgh, Washington DC, New York, and San Francisco brings to light a secret obsession shared by pharaohs, philosophers and kings; templars and freemasons; great artists and architects; popes and presidents, spanning the whole of recorded history up to the present time. As the series of videos reveals how profound ancient knowledge inherited from Egypt has been encoded in units of measurement, in famous works of art, in the design of major buildings, in the layout of city streets and public spaces, and in the precise placement of obelisks and other important monuments upon the Earth, the viewer is led to perceive an elegant harmonic system linking the human body with the architectural, urban, planetary, solar, and galactic scales.

Electric Daisy Carnival LV 2011 Mp3’s

EDC-LC2011

Unfortunately I was unable to score tickets to this years EDC in Las Vegas even though I could see the fireworks from my house. Talk about rubbing it in. At any rate many friends knew how badly I wanted to attend so they began sending me digital audio recordings made from some of the top performances at the 2011 Electric Daisy Carnival.

I will share those here in the name of community. If you have some that I am missing or have better copies of any listed, please do share. Big thanks to Paul Loeb.

I have wanted
The Red Book by Carl Jungsince I first learned it was in print last year. I was holding off on purchasing a copy due to the price and I wasn't precisely sure of its contents. The Red Book, also known as Liber Novus (Latin for A New Book) is a 205-page manuscript written and illustrated [53 full images, 71 contain both text and artwork and 81 are pure calligraphic text] by Swiss psychologist Carl Jung between approximately 1914 and 1930, which was not published or shown to the public until 2009. Until 2001, his heirs denied scholars access to the book, which he began after a falling-out with Sigmund Freud in 1913.

Jung originally titled the manuscript Liber Novus (literally meaning A New Book in Latin), but it was informally known and published as The Red Book. The book is written in calligraphic text and contains many illuminations which are truely amazing! Many multi-colored art-pieces of mandalic, fractal mytholigies and memorable mindscapes are graced upon the illuminated pages of this most deeply honest opus. The imaginal depictions of truly numinous realms painted by Jung in this volume will serve as a mirrored palace of backdrops to many a soul’s journey here on out for sure. The PDF in the following link contains a nice scan of the original German script and art-works followed by an English translation of the text.

If you enjoy this book, please support its publishers. Buy a copy.

Natasha Tsakos' multimedia theatrical adventure

From: TED Talks

Natasha Tsakos presents part of her one-woman, multimedia show, "Upwake." As the character Zero, she blends dream and reality with an inventive virtual world projected around her in 3D animation and electric sound as a live performance! This is so much more then ordinary entertainment, it is brilliant. Pure sight, sound and mind candy like no other one person live performance I have ever seen.
